Darling Wants Lena Taylor Removed from Finance Committee

The Republican lawmaker says Taylor's level of disrespect is a concern.

Sen. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) is asking her colleague on the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance, Sen. Lena Taylor, be removed from the committee for her disrespectful comments, FOX6 reports.

"She doesn't feel like she has to respect the voice and the opinions of the chair,” Darling was quoted saying on Charlie Sykes' 620 WTMJ radio show. “She can call people liars. This level of disrespect for the process, disrespect for rules of law and disrespect for the process of doing legislations for the people of Wisconsin is a concern."

In a recent meeting, the two state senators had an exchange, which resulted in Darling leaving the room, according to FOX6.

Democratic Senate leaders would have to remove Taylor (D-Milwaukee) but there is no indication they plan to make good on the Finance Committee chairperson's request.

Lena Taylor would knew who I was when I first saw her in person. She was not polotically untouchable. To Alberta, no one has a name or a face, unless you have put cash in her pocket. That is not my criteria for evaluating a goverment offical, but I do vote for individuals who will take the time to know me even if I was unemployed and broke. Alberta seems to treat those without "upper class" pocket books like they are wastes of her time....like teachers. Its pretty sad.

My 15 year old cousin also answers me on Facebook, usually much faster than that. He should run for office!
