Absentee Voting Ends Friday

Applications for absentee voting through the mail must be received by the village clerk by the end of the day, Thursday.

Absentee voting ends Friday in Shorewood for the 8th Senate District recall election slated for Aug. 9.

Due to the , voters won’t be able to register on Aug. 8, the Monday before the election. Registering and in-person absentee voting ends Friday at 5 p.m. Voters can register at the polls on Election Day. Applications for absentee ballots through the mail must arrive at the clerk’s office by 5 p.m. Thursday.

Shorewood’s village clerk office said they have not tallied up the number of ballots they have received, but have seen a steady stream of ballots since Monday, when absentee voting started.

State Sen. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) is set to square off with challenger Rep. Sandy Pasch (D-Whitefish Bay) for her the 8th Senate District seat.
