The village soliciting applications for a new trustee, to fill a vacant seat on the Village Board.  

There's about two weeks left to apply for the seat. The application deadline is July 10.

Officials are asking that interested parties send an application and résumé to Guy Johnson, Village President, c/o Village Manager's Office, 3930 N. Murray Avenue, Shorewood WI 53211.  

Applications are available on the village's website or at Village Hall, 3930 N. Murray Ave.

The Village Board plans to interview candidates on July 24, starting at 5:15 p.m. Trustees have set a back-up date of July 22. 

The vacancy was created when Don Ford gave up his seat after moving outside of the village.

Ford had roughly one year left on his term when he stepped down, so the term ends April 2014.
