Woman Robbed at Gunpoint

The mugger threatened to shoot her if she yelled for help.

A female was robbed at gunpoint Monday night near the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Menlo Boulevard.

According to a Shorewood police email notification, the woman was walking in the area when she was approached by a man with a silver hand gun. He demanded she hand over her valuables, saying "I will shoot you if you yell." The male suspect stole her purse, phone and keys, and then fled west on foot on Menlo Boulevard.

Shorewood police were unable to locate the man, who is described as a black man in his early to mid 20s, about 6'2" or 6'3" in height with an athletic build. His hair was styled with corn row braids. He wore a blue baseball hat, white shirt and jeans.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Shorewood Police Department at (414) 847-2610.
