WISN: Homicide Victim's Sister 'Knew Something Wasn't Right'

After not hearing from her brother for two days, the victim's sister said she grew concerned about his welfare.

The sister of a 57-year-old man whose body was found Tuesday night in a Shorewood apartment said the family is devastated by the homicide.

Marilyn Charles told Patch's media partners at WISN 12 News that she grew concerned when she didn't hear from her brother, Clarence, on Monday or Tuesday.

"We didn't expect to find him like that. He was missing. We normally talk to each other every other day, and we didn't talk on Monday, and we knew something wasn't right," Marilyn Charles told the station.

Shorewood police are continuing to investigate the homicide, the village's first in 20 years.

Clarence Charles' body was found in an apartment at 4460 N. Oakland Ave. around 8 p.m. Tuesday after he was reported missing.
