Shorewood Woman Facing Charges for Busting Out Boyfriend's House Windows with Boulders
Authorities say the suspect took three shots of vodka, then drove to her boyfriend's house in the Town of Vernon, where she broke 16 windows with "boulders."
A Shorewood woman is facing charges after she allegedly took three shots of vodka, went to her boyfriend’s Town of Vernon home and then began smashing out his windows with boulders.
Joanna M. Gaar, 26, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Dec. 16 with one count of felony criminal damage to property and one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, she faces up to three years and nine months in prison, and $11,000 in fines.

On Dec. 15, Gaar’s boyfriend said he didn't want to see her, but she traveled to his home in the S8100 block of Center Drive, and began throwing “boulders” at his home, and smashing out windows. As police arrived they could hear Gaar screaming and glass breaking.
In all, Gaar broke 16 windows on the home causing an estimated $6,500 in damage.

The victim said he thought Gaar was “cranked up” on cocaine, but she told police she only took three shots of vodka then came to the home, however she did have a straw on her used for cocaine.
After being taken into custody Gaar remained uncooperative with staff at Waukesha County Jail and refused to take out her piercings.
She’s currently out on a $2,500 signature bond while awaiting trial.
