At 12:38 a.m. Aug. 6, a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver pulled up to a home in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue and parked in front of a Chevrolet Impala, then went and delivered a pizza. While walking back to his car, Whitmore punched him in the face and the victim fell to the ground.

At least four other then jumped in and began to stomp and punch the victim while Whitmore went through the man’s pockets. He begged them to just take the stuff and stop hitting him, however, they continued to beat him.

The victim was able to get away and then tried running to a nearby building, however, one of the assailants caught him and they began to beat him again while another man went through his pockets once again and took his car keys, cell phone and wallet.

He saw several of the men go back to the Impala and leave, but never saw someone take his car.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for numerous abrasions, a broken toe and two lacerations on his head that required five stitches to close.

Shortly after the attack a Milwaukee police officer spotted the victim’s car in the 3300 block of West Center Street and began to follow it from a distance. The car turned onto North 27th Street and as the officer’s squad car got closer, the victim’s car pulled over and three men got out and began to run.

Whitmore was caught by the officer and then identified by the victim via a photo lineup.

Whitmore is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail on $5,000 bond.
