Student Robbed, Possibly at Gunpoint, Near UWM Campus

The victim told police a suspect stuck a hard object in his back and told him to empty his pockets Sunday night.

A University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student was robbed while walking in the 3500 block of North Murray Avenue Sunday night, police say.

The student told police he was walking to a friend's house from the college campus at about 8:40 p.m. when an unknown suspect approached him, stuck a hard object in his back, implying there was a firearm, and told him to empty his pockets.

The student handed over his property and continued walking north on Murray Avenue, following the robber's orders to not turn around.
