String of Auto Break-Ins Continue in Shorewood

Police report four thefts Monday night with a vehicle and GPS unit stolen.

Shorewood was victim to a string of auto break-ins Monday, with four homes targeted overnight, and .

A home in the 3500 block of North Murray Avenue was burglarized with several items taken from the home including the keys to the homeowner’s 2010 Toyota Prius, which was stolen out of the home’s garage. Police are waiting on a list stolen items from the homeowner.

Another home garage in the same block was entered through an alleyway and vehicle parked inside illegally entered, but no property was stolen or damaged.

Two other home garages in the 3500 block of North Cramer Street were entered through an alleyway and vehicles broken into. While one home reported no stolen or damaged property another homeowner said a Garmin GPS was stolen for a vehicle in the garage.
