SHS Student Arrested for Possessing Drug Paraphernalia

Police say a parking checker smelled marijuana coming from inside of the student's car through a partially opened window while it was parked in the high school parking lot.

An 18-year-old student was arrested and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia on school property around 11 Wednesday morning.

Police say a parking checker smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside of the student's car through a partially opened window, while it was parked in the high school parking lot, 1701 E. Capitol Dr. The checker was issuing a parking citation at the time.

Rolling papers were later found in the car.
