Shorewood Woman Says Man Exposed Himself Before Assaulting Her at Bus Stop

Victim told police a noticeably-intoxicated man approached her while she waited in a bus shelter, offered her a beer from a plastic bag full of Miller Lites, exposed himself and then suddenly assaulted her, demanding she hand over her cell phone.

Police say a Shorewood woman wasn't injured when a man attacked her while she waited at a bus stop early Sunday morning.

The victim told police the man entered a bus shelter she was waiting in a little after midnight in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue.

The suspect was noticeably intoxicated and offered the victim a beer from a plastic bag full of Miller Lites; she responded no. The man then exposed himself before suddenly assaulting her, demanding she hand over her cell phone.

The woman fought back and the man eventually gave up and fled southbound on Oakland Avenue on a bicycle. The woman called her friend, who advised she call police.

Police say they don't any suspects.
