Shorewood Woman Returns Home to Find Intruder

An intruder made off with a $500 Dell laptop in a Friday morning burglary.

A Shorewood woman returned home Friday morning to a big surprise β€” an intruder in her house.

According to police, when she came home to her residence in the 1200 block of East Olive Street at about 9:40 a.m., she heard noises coming from upstairs.

As soon as she completed the climb up the stairs to investigate, the man came out of a room and immediately fled down the stairs and out the front door with a $500 Dell laptop.

The home was unlocked at the time of the burglary, according to the report.
