Shorewood Woman Assaulted, Told to Hand Over Cash Outside Capitol Drive Apartment

Police say a man pushed a Shorewood woman to the ground in the rear of an East Capitol Drive apartment building July 25, before demanding she hand over money.

A Shorewood woman says a man pushed her to the ground before demanding money in an attempted strong-arm robbery July 25.

According to the police report, at 8:30 p.m., the victim was in the rear of an apartment building in the 1300 block of East Capitol Drive when the man approached her, pushed her to the ground and demanded she give him money.

The robber ended up fleeing the scene without any money.
