Shorewood Police Find Eight Baggies of Pot during Traffic Stop

A Milwaukee woman and man were arrested for possession of marijuana after confessing to smoking a marijuana cigarette, police say.

A Milwaukee woman and man were arrested Saturday in Shorewood for possession of marijuana.

Shorewood police stopped a speeding 2000 Chevrolet four door Saturday while traveling on North Lake Drive and say they smelled marijuana coming from the car.

Two of the four car occupants confessed to smoking a marijuana cigarette, which they threw out the window after police pulled them over, according to the police report.

Police say they recovered eight baggies of pot from the car, following a search.

The driver, a 21-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated and possession of marijuana and a passenger, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested for possession.
