Shorewood Man Walks Into Walgreens for First Aid Kit to Nurse Stab Wound

Police say the man didn't want help from police after allegedly being attacked.

Walgreens’ employees got a surprise Tuesday night when a Shorewood man walked into the retailer bleeding from a stab wound.

He was trying to find first aid items to treat himself, after being stabbed in his left shoulder, according to the police report. He said he didn't want to get police involved, but Walgreens' staff still phoned police.

Police say there was a lot of blood when they arrived on scene, and the victim initially told them he had been stabbed during an attempted robbery on North Lincoln Memorial Drive near Bradford Beach. He later changed his story, saying he was attacked at Washington Park in Milwaukee.

He would later tell police he'd been stabbed by someone he knew around the intersection of South 13th Street and West College Avenue in Milwaukee. It's unclear how the victim knew the stabber, Shorewood police say.

The man was transported to a local hospital where he was treated.
