Shorewood Man Facing Charges after Police Find Marijuana-Growing Operation in Apartment

Michael Arndt, 21, was charged Friday with possession and manufacturing of marijuana.

A Shorewood man is facing charges of manufacturing and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, after Shorewood Police served a search warrant on the man's apartment at 1320 East Capitol Dr., Apt. 302.

Michael Arndt, 21, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Friday after an apartment manager alerted police. The manager entered the apartment on April 4 to check on a water leak and discovered a marijuana growing operation. A search warrant was obtained later that day and 18 marijuana plants, 40 jars of green leafy material, paraphernalia, packaging materials and nine cell phones were seized by Shorewood police, according to a criminal complaint. In all, police seized 1.25 pounds of marijuana.

Arndt wasn't at his apartment when police searched it but turned himself into Shorewood police Thursday, accompanied by his attorney, and was charged Friday.
