On Dec. 4, the victim was with Rivera after spending the night at his home when he decided he wanted to go meet some friends at Mayfair. He insisted he drive them to the mall using the victim’s SUV.

While on their way, the couple got into an argument and Rivera abruptly exited the freeway at East Keefe Avenue. While they were at a red light near North Holton Street, she grabbed the keys out of the ignition and ran out of the vehicle toward a gas station.

Rivera followed her to the gas station where he threw her to the floor. She tried to escape the gas station, but was once again thrown to the ground.

He then bit her hand until she gave up the keys, he Rivera then drove off in the SUV, with her children in the back seat. She later got a call from her sister who said Rivera was at her home in Waukesha dropping off the kids.

While investigators were writing the report, Rivera called to explain he owned the SUV despite it being titled in the victim’s name.

Police are looking for Rivera, who is not in custody, and have issued a warrant for his arrest.
