Shorewood Boy Says Man Tried to Grab Him on Bike Trail

Man reportedly asked boy, 'Do you want to go back to my fort?'

A Shorewood boy yelled for help after a man in his 30s tried to grab him in the 4100 block of the Estabrook Parkway around 9:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

According to Shorewood police:

The boy said he was walking his dog when the suspect walked up to him and asked, “Do you want to go back to my fort?” The boy said no and continued walking, but not before the man grabbed the boy’s collar and said he wanted the boy “to have some candy with me.”

The boy yelled for help and the youth's dog attacked the man, who would run west into a wooded area.

Police say they are still investigating.
