In a stand against crime, a network of 1,500 Shorewood homeowners will gather on the Lake Bluff Elementary front lawn for a community block watch, Wednesday.
The Shorewood Police Department will host the information meeting at the elementary school, 1600 E. Lake Bluff Boulevard from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and explain basic home and business security, personal safety and help define suspicious activity.
Police and residents hope to improve a network of people to communicate to others any updates within the community and the police department.
Organizers ask particpants bring their own lawn chairs or blanket to sit on.
