Police Report: Theft of Infant Formula Results in Cudahy Man's Arrest

A 28-year-old Cudahy man was arrested Wednesday after police say he stole 12 cans of infant formula from .

Police say the man grabbed the $191 worth of formula off a shelf at the grocer located at 4145 N. Oakland Ave. and walked out without paying.

The man was spotted running eastbound on East Olive Street and police later found him hiding in a garage in the 1500 block of Olive Street.

He was also cited for obstructing an officer and trespassing.

  • Three Apple laptops were reported stolen from a classroom at , 3830 N. Morris Blvd. The laptops are valued at $1400 each. Police say they are still investigating the thefts.
  • Police are looking for a man who concealed approximately six porterhouse steaks worth $75 and walked out of Pick β€˜n Save without paying.
  • A Shorewood woman came into the Shorewood police station Wednesday to report someone filing federal and California state taxes in her name. She told police she had received a letter from the Internal Revenue Service stating they had received her taxes but they were still reviewing it. But, she said she hadn't filed her taxes yet.
