A smash-and-grab theft was reported in the Bakers Square parking lot Wednesday night.
According to a Shorewood police report, an unknown person damaged the window and window frame of the locked vehicle between 8 p.m. and 9:10 p.m. Wednesday. After breaking in, the thief stole a brown leather briefcase valued at $100.
Nothing of value was in the briefcase at the time. The estimated damage to the vehicle is $500.
In other Shorewood police news:
- A Milwaukee woman reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse at Three Lion's Pub on Jan. 24. She told police she does not know who took her wallet. The person made three charges on her credit card between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. that night.
- A Shorewood High School student reported an iPod Touch device that she had in her back pocket went missing during the school day on Monday. She told police she does not know who took the device.
