Police Report: Shrimp Stolen from NaNa; Grocery Store Retail Theft

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police log.

Six boxes of shrimp worth $180 were reported stolen from NaNa Asian Fusion, 4511 N. Oakland Ave., on May 10.

Police say entry was gained through an unlocked alleyway door and the culprit(s) later fled in a silver jeep.

  • A 57-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested May 11 after police say he attempted to steal $166 in hygiene products from Walgreens, 4081 N. Oakland Ave.
  • About $500 in damage was caused to the Milwaukee PC building at 3900 N. Sheburn Pl. after paint was smeared on a garage door.
  • Fraudulent charges totaling $35 to a Discover credit were reported by a Shorewood resident May 10.
  • A man with a traffic safety vest pumped $21 worth of gasoline into a car with the words “auto rescue” on the back window, and drove off without paying on May 11 at Shorewood’s BP gas station, 1513 E. Capitol Dr.
  • A $300 green Trek mountain bicycle was reported stolen from an unlocked garage in the 1300 block of East Lake Bluff Boulevard.
  • More than $1,300 in fraudulent charges were reported to a Shorewood resident’s credit card sometime in 2005. It was reported May 12.
  • A woman was arrested for retail theft Tuesday after police say he attempted to steal Pop-Tarts and other items from Pick ‘n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave.
