Police Report: Shorewood Police Forced to Subdue Man Who Struck Bus Driver

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

Police had to subdue a 32-year-old Milwaukee man and remove him from a Milwaukee County Transit bus shortly after 11:30 Thursday night for striking the bus driver, who tried to wake him up.

Police say the man resisted police officers' attempts to escort him off the bus while near the intersection of East Capitol Drive and North Oakland Avenue.

The man was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct.

  • A 15-year-old Shorewood High School student was arrested Friday after police found marijuana in his backpack. School officials tipped police off to the teen possibly possessing THC, and police later recovered 3.2 grams of pot from the teen.
  • A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested Friday after police found a pipe with traces of marijuana in his car during a traffic stop. Police initially stopped the man for speeding.
  • The owner of a home in the 1900 block of East Elmdale Court confronted a Shorewood teenager Friday entering the house illegally. Police say the homeowner knows the teen, but haven't been able to locate him.
  • A $450 2008 GT Hybrid 21-speed bicycle, $700 Trek bicycle and $200 specialized bicycle, all locked, were reported stolen Saturday from a bike rack at , 1701 E. Capitol Dr.
