Police Report: Shorewood Man Arrested for Being Drunk Behind the Wheel

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

A 28-year-old Shorewood man was arrested Saturday for being behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated.

Police found him sleeping in his car in the 4600 block of North Larkin Street and subjected him to a field sobriety test, which he failed.

The man had a .14 blood alcohol content, police say.

  • Graffiti scratched into two village-owned cars caused $3,000 in damage Sep. 28, police say.
  • Police arrested a 54-year-old Milwaukee man after he walked out of , 4145 N. Oakland Ave., with an undetermined amount of meat. An employee saw the man walk out of the entrance with the merchandise and called police.
  • Police were unable to catch up with a man who concealed two meat steaks and walked out of Pick ‘n Save Sunday. An employee saw the man conceal the meat inside his sweatshirt and walk out of the store.
  • A $300 cell phone was reported stolen Friday from the boy’s locker room at , 1701 E. Capitol Ave.
  • A $180 yellow mountain bike was reported stolen Sunday from the front yard of a home in the 3500 block of North Downer Avenue.
