Police Report: Milwaukee Man Arrested for Drug Possession

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

Police arrested a 23-year-old Milwaukee man Sunday after finding marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car during a traffic stop. 

When the man was pulled over in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 1:42 a.m. for speeding, police smelled pot in the car. The driver later admitted to having pot and a pipe in the car.

Police confiscated about one gram of marijuana and a glass pipe.

  • A Shorewood woman called police Friday because her husband was highly intoxicated and walking around without his pants on. When police arrived at the home in the 4400 block of North Cramer Street, the husband was upset — and throwing things around the house — because his wife wouldn’t give him his daily cash for cigarettes. He told police he planned on walking around the house without pants until he was given the money. Police didn’t make any arrests.
  • Two unlocked cars parked in a driveway in the 4100 block of North Larkin Street were illegally entered and a $100 GPS stolen Friday. The theft occurred between 6 and 10 p.m.
  • A student was cited Friday for possession of alcohol by a minor after admitting to bringing alcohol to school. The student said she was going to drink the vodka during Friday night's football game.
  • A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested Sunday after removing a bottle of Zantrex-3 from its packaging and concealing it. The man was stopped before he could leave , 4081 N. Oakland Ave. The merchandise was worth $44.99.
  • A Shorewood homeowner told police a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel paper carrier caused $300 when a newspaper was chucked at the front window of the home, Sunday.
  • A $600 snow blower was reported stolen Sunday from an unlocked garage in the 4400 block of North Wildwood Avenue.
  • An unlocked blue mountain bike was reported stolen Friday from a bike rack at , 3830 N. Morris Blvd. The value of the bicycle is unknown, police say.
