Police Report: Milwaukee Man Apprehended for Stolen Steaks, Cocaine Possession

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

A 44-year-old Milwaukee man is in Milwaukee County Jail after Shorewood police found him in possession of cocaine on Monday.

After walking out of , 4145 N. Oakland Ave., without paying for three porterhouse steaks worth $55, police caught up with and arrested him in his car in the 700 block of East Capitol Drive. He was issued a citation for retail theft.

Police found the cocaine on his person during the arrest, according to the report.

  • An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of marijuana Friday after being pulled over for speeding in the 1500 block of East Capitol Drive. During the stop, an officer smelled marijuana and later observed a marijuana cigarette in the center console. Police later found a plastic baggie with three grams of pot during the arrest.
  • A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving Thursday after police pulled him over for speeding in the 1300 block of East Capitol Drive. Police say the man smelled of alcohol during the traffic stop and he later failed a field sobriety test. A field breath test resulted in a .12 blood alcohol level. It’s his first OWI offense.
  • A Shorewood woman phoned police Friday to report her debit card had been used 28 times, resulting in $1,373 in fraudulent charges.
  • Police were called after a man passed a counterfeit $10 bill in the drive thru, 1325 E. Capitol Dr., on Sunday. The customer told police he didn’t know it was counterfeit and had received it as change the night before.
  • On Saturday, someone drove off without paying for $55 worth of gas at , 2521 E. Capitol Dr. Then on Monday, a man pumped $30 worth of fuel and pulled off without paying.
