Police Report: Man Threatens to Stab Cable Man; Drunken Driver

A Shorewood man was cited for disorderly conduct April 24 after police say he threatened to stab a cable worker working on a utility pole outside a Shorewood home.

According to the police report, an AT&T worker was on a ladder working on a utility pole when the suspect exited his home in the 4000 block of North Bartlett Avenue.

The suspect mumbled something to the AT&T worker, then went back inside his house. He returned with a knife and told the worker he was going to cut him. The suspect went back inside, without incident.

The suspect  was cited for disorderly conduct.

  • Police ticketed a man April 23 after police say he was caught on surveillance video stealing three bottles of vodka from Pick ‘n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave. After identifying the man, police mailed him citations for trespassing and retail theft.
  • A man was arrested for his second drunken driving charge Thursday in the 1800 block of East Beverly Road. Police say the man refused to perform field sobriety tests, but consented to a Breathalyzer, which registered a 0.18 blood alcohol content. He was also cited for operating after revocation.
  • A $250 four-wheeled walker was reported stolen from a hallway inside the River Park Apartments, 1600 E. River Park Ct. on Thursday. 
  • A $85 Weber chrocoal grill was reported stolen Friday from a home in the 1500 block of East Olive Street.
