Police Report: Drunken Driving Arrest; Cell Phones Stolen from Verizon Wireless Store

A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving Thursday morning after police heard her blasting music while driving north on North Oakland Avenue.

She was pulled over in the 4400 block of Oakland Avenue and failed sobriety tests at the scene, but later refused to submit to a Breathalyzer test. Police are awaiting the results of a blood test to determine her blood alcohol level at the time of the incident.

It’s her second drunken driving arrest.

In other police news:

  • Two cell phones valued at $1,200 were reported stolen from Shorewood's , 4144 N. Oakland Ave., on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Police are still gathering information on the theft.
  • Sometime between 6:30 and 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, a $350 metal antique railroad cart was reported stolen from the side of a garage in the 4500 block of North Newhall Street.
  • Sometime between 3:20 and 3:49 p.m. on Tuesday, a Shorewood resident’s bank debit card was used to make unauthorized purchases at Walmart in Milwaukee and Target in Greenfield totaling $484.
