Police Report: Car Break-in; Man Trespasses at Apartments

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police log.

A locked car parked in the 1900 block of East Elmdale Court was reported illegally entered sometime overnight on March 4.

A $250 Garmin GPS unit was taken; no damage was reported.

  • A 34-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody March 5, after police say he trespassed at the River Park Apartments, 1700 E. River Park Ct., and began kicking a woman’s door and yelling obscenities. He yelled, “when I see you, I’m gonna get you,” among other things, according to the police report. He was cited or trespassing and causing damage to property.
  • A 53-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested after police found him intoxicated in the Culver’s parking lot, 1325 E. Capitol Dr., banging his head against a moving truck. Police say they arrested him because he was in such a state of intoxication that he couldn’t care for himself. The man was unable to focus on an officer, had to prop himself up against the truck to keep his balance and appeared to have urinated on himself. He was transported to the Milwaukee County Detox Center.
  • A construction worker told police Wednesday, his credit card was stolen from his lunchbox, while on a site in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue. The worker said the theft occurred sometime during the day on March 4, and he didn’t realize the card was missing until he went to purchase gasoline and later found out there were fraudulent charges.
