Police Report: Bicycle Theft, Retail Theft, Prowling

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

Five Milwaukee teenagers were arrested Monday after police say they walked into a open garage around 7:10 p.m. in the 2100 block of East Menlo Boulevard and stole a bicycle. The bicycle was recovered and the five teens were cited for disorderly conduct, trespassing and theft.

Also in the police report:

  • A 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man, both from Milwaukee, were arrested for prowling shortly after midnight on Monday after a resident in the 4200 block of North Ardmore Avenue observed them looking into cars in driveways.
  • A $1,000 Macbook Pro was reported stolen Wednesday from a classroom in , 1701 E. Capitol Dr. Police are looking for a man in his 30s caught on surveillance cameras walking out of the high school with the laptop.
  • A 51-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for retail theft Tuesday after police say she walked out of , 4027 N. Oakland Ave., without paying for $3.69 worth of cheese she had concealed in her purse.
  • Construction workers called police after a Shorewood woman wouldn’t leave their construction site in the 2000 block of East Jarvis Street. Police say she was yelling at the workers all morning on Wednesday, saying she didn’t want construction on the block her parents use to live on.
  • The owner of a 2003 Hyundai told police while his car was parked in the 4100 block of North Murray Avenue sometime overnight on Monday an "x" was spray painted on the rear passenger window.  Police say there was no damage as the owner was able to wash off the paint.
