Police Report: SHS Student Breaks Bones in Teen's Face with Punch

A student was suspended from school after he punched another teenager Monday, breaking two bones in the victim’s face.

Police say the assault occurred outside the Performing Arts Building on the high school campus, 1701 E. Capitol Dr., a little after 7 p.m. A police investigation is ongoing.

  • Police found marijuana and rolling papers on a 44-year-old Milwaukee man Tuesday after being arrested for retail theft Tuesday. The suspect attempted to conceal four tubes of toothpaste and walk out of , 4081 N. Oakland Ave. A store employee confronted the man who agreed to put the items back.
  • A Shorewood man came into the police station Tuesday to turn in a suspicious envelope delivered to his home. Police say he decided to hand it over to authorities after opening the package and finding a powdery white substance. An investigation is ongoing.
  • Several items were stolen from a locked car including a $10 flashlight, $30 air compressor and $12 set of gloves Tuesday. The car was parked in a parking structure in the 3800 block of North Oakland Avenue and the theft occurred sometime overnight on Sunday.
  • A 12-year-old student was suspended from school after leaving vulgar and threatening text messages on a classmates cell phone. Police issued the boy a disorderly conduct ticket.
  • After being pulled over for speeding, a 35-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested Tuesday on an outstanding warrant for disorderly conduct issued by West Allis police. Shorewood police took him into custody and he was later released after posting bond.
