Police Report: $190 Taken from High School Locker; Underage Drinking Arrest

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police log.

Police say $190 in cash was reported stolen from the boy’s locker room at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Dr.

The thefts occurred on Friday and Monday, between just after noon and 11:11 p.m. The victim told police the locker was locked over the timeframe of the thefts.

  • A 22-year-old Shorewood man was arrested Saturday after police say he tried to leave Pick ‘n Save, 4145 N. Oakland Ave., without paying for a $20 bottle of Kahlúa liquor. The man was stopped by store security before he could exit the store.
  • A 19-year-old Waukesha woman was cited for underage drinking Friday during a traffic stop. Police initially made the stop in the 3900 block of North Cramer Street for non-registration. The woman, who was in the passenger seat, registered a 0.13 blood alcohol content during a Breathalyzer. The driver was given a verbal warning. 
  • A Shorewood woman reported $160 in fraudulent charges to her debit card Friday. Several other transactions were attempted but blocked by the victim’s bank. 
  • An employee at Village Pub, 4488 N. Oakland Ave., told police Friday he observed a suspect steal a patron’s jacket. The incident occurred at 9 p.m. The owner of the jacket didn’t want to file a complaint with police.
