Police Recover Marijuana, Crack Cocaine in Two Incidents

A 25-year-old Milwaukee man found in possession of 16 baggies of pot was among three drug-related arrests made early this week.

Police arrested three people in two drug incidents early this week.

Police stopped a suspicious car driving on North Sherburn Place, the access road near the former Riverbrook Restaurant site, Monday morning at 2:45. An officer smelled fresh marijuana, and after a search of the car, 16 baggies of pot, with a total weight of 7 grams, were recovered. A 25-year-old Milwaukee man told police he had bought the marijuana earlier in the day, and it was just for personal use. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Police arrested an 18-year-old woman and 20-year-old man, both from Milwaukee, Wednesday after admitting to smoking marijuana in a parked car in an Estabrook Parkway parking lot. After a police search, crack cocaine was found on the Milwaukee man. Police originally observed the couple parked and stopped to conduct a welfare check.
