Shorewood High School was locked down for about 30 minutes Wednesday, as police arrested a 19-year-old Fox Point man in its parking lot.
Shorewood police say they were made aware Fox Point police were looking for the man because he had made suicidal threats. Police were also advised he could be carrying a firearm.
When a police search lead to the high school parking lot, the school was subsequently put into "code red" at about 11:45 a.m.
Police helped move teachers and students to a safe area in the high school during the lockdown.
Superintendent Martin Lexmond said the incident occurred toward the end of a lunch hour and students and teachers only lost about five minutes of class time.
No one was injured.
Police say they did arrest the suspect, and he was not carrying a firearm.
