Police: Man Charged with Sexual Assault in Milwaukee, Also Suspect in Shorewood Incident

Shorewood police say a man charged in a Milwaukee incident is a suspect in a June incident, where a man exposed himself and then suddenly assaulted a woman as she waited at a Oakland Avenue bus stop.

A 23-year-old West Allis man charged with sexual assault of a woman at a Milwaukee bus stop, is also a suspect in , local police confirmed Wednesday.

The man, who Shorewood Patch is not naming because he hasn’t been formally charged in the Shorewood incident, is alleged to have grabbed a woman and touched her inappropriately at a bus stop in the 400 block of W. Lincoln Ave. on July 27, according to Milwaukee police.

The Shorewood incident occurred just after midnight on June 17 at a bus stop in the 3900 block of North Oakland Avenue.

The victim told police a man approached her who was noticeably intoxicated and offered her a beer from a plastic bag full of Miller Lites; she responded no.

The man then exposed himself to her before suddenly assaulting her, and demanding she hand over her cell phone.

The woman fought back and the man eventually gave up and fled southbound on Oakland Avenue on a bicycle.

Milwaukee police say they are determining whether the suspect is linked to incident in Bay View and South Milwaukee.
