Police Make Arrest in Food Delivery Driver Muggings

Police say they picked up an 18-year-old Milwaukee man early Wednesday morning for his role in the robbery of a Domino's Pizza delivery driver.

Police say they have arrested an 18-year-old Milwaukee man just after midnight on Wednesday for his role in the robbery of a Domino's Pizza delivery driver.

The man was arrested at his home on the 900 block of W. Kneeland St. in Milwaukee.

A stolen 2007 Chevy Cobalt was also recovered, which belonged to the victim.

The incident occurred on Monday at 12:35 a.m., when the Domino's Pizza delivery driver was attacked and beaten as he attempted to deliver to an apartment in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue.

He told police a gray or silver Chevrolet Impala pulled in front of his car and at least three subjects jumped out, began to attack him and eventually stole his car.

Police say an investigation is still ongoing.

A second separate incident β€” at 11:30 Saturday night β€”Β occurred when two men lured a Jimmy John's delivery driver to a home in the 3800 block of North Maryland Avenue and beat him during an attempted strong-arm robbery.

The driver told police once he arrived and started walking up to the home to deliver the food the men ambushed him and started to beat him. He fought for about a minute before a passerby ended up scaring off the robbers.
