Two Milwaukee juveniles — police say were driving a stolen car — led authorities on a chase through a few North Shore communities Sunday morning.

According to the report, at 12:14 a.m. Shorewood police ran the plates of a car traveling north on North Oakland Avenue. The car came back as stolen from West Milwaukee; police followed the car, and attempted a traffic stop near the intersection of East Henry Clay and North Marlborough Drive in Whitefish Bay. The suspects initially stopped, then drove off.

Shorewood police pursued the suspects as far as North Port Washington Road and Henry Clay, where Glendale police took over. Glendale called off the pursuit when the suspects crossed over into Fox Point, according to Shorewood police.

However, the two drove back into Glendale and were spotted by police. They eventually pulled over in the 500 block of West Fairfield Court, and fled their car. Glendale police tracked them to a snow mound, in which the suspects attempted to conceal themselves.

The two were taken into police custody. The Milwaukee County District Attorney's office reviewed Monday recommended charges of fleeing from a police officer and operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent.
