All of the duplex occupants were able to escape without injury, and no firefighters were harmed, Whitaker said.

The cause is still unknown, though Whitaker suspects lightning struck the home, sparking the fire. Whitaker said firefighters will spend about an hour Wednesday night doing an overhaul of the duplex and hope to determine a cause then.
