Milwaukee Man Needs Surgery after Late Night Stabbing

Emergency personnel arrived at a Shorewood apartment building to find pool of blood leading to the victim.

A 24-year-old Milwaukee man needed surgery after his best friend, a 23-year-old Shorewood man, stabbed him several times early Tuesday, police say.

Shorewood police say they aren’t sure what sparked the argument between the two men, which resulted in numerous severe cuts to the victim’s hands, torso and waist. Police said, however, alcohol was a factor.

The North Shore Fire Department was initially called to an apartment in the 1400 block of East Capitol Drive at 12:21 a.m after receiving a report of a fire extinguisher being discharged.
