On Friday, a man was walking northbound in the 4000 block of North Oakland Avenue, when Piece, who was walking westbound-began to yell at him “do you have a gun?” The man said he didn’t, so Pierce walked across the street towards him and said “I have a gun on me.”

The man then went and walked on the west side of the street, but Piece continued to follow and shout “what do you have on you?” Eventually the man got to and flagged down an employee who was smoking a cigarette outside and told him what had just happened.

Police found Pierce walking in the 4400 block of North Oakland and he tried to run upon seeing them, but was caught in a nearby alley. Officers found a skeleton Halloween mask on Pierce and a 11 inch knife nearby.

Pierce said he’s addicted to Ecstasy and wanted to rob someone of their phone so he could sell it for $60 and use the money to buy drugs. He said he planned to wear the mask during the robbery, but didn’t know why he didn’t put it on before talking to the potential victim.

Pierce is currently being held in Milwaukee County Jail.
