Victim Says Robber Held Object to His Head and Demanded Money

Police say a man was robbed near the intersection of North Wilson Drive and North Alpine Avenue Monday night.

A Shorewood pedestrian says a man put an object to his head and demanded money in a robbery Monday night near the intersection of North Wilson Drive and North Alpine Avenue. 

According to police, the victim was approached by the suspect at 9:40 p.m. while walking in the area and asked for a light. After replying he didn't have one, the pederstrian continued walking.

The suspect then approached the victim again, put a hard object to the back of his head and said, "Give me your money, take our your wallet." The victim told police he's not sure if the object was a gun or an other weapon.

The suspect stole $53 in cash from the wallet and then fled on foot. A police investigation is ongoing.
