Teen Attempts to Bilk Church Out of Grill by Selling It on Craigslist, Police Say

Police say a local teenager tried to pull a fast one on North Shore Presbyterian Church on Sunday when he advertised a large propane grill belonging to the church on Craigslist.

Police believe a local teenager tried to pull a fast one on North Shore Presbyterian Church on Sunday when he advertised a large propane grill belonging to the church on Craigslist without its knowledge.

Police say they received a report of two people trying to steal the grill from the church at 4040 N. Bartlett Ave. around 7 p.m.

The two were actually trying to pick up the grill they had paid for on Craigslist and the church and police later realized the grill had been falsely advertised as being for sale.
