Learn Crime-Prevention Tips from Police at Meeting on Monday

An increase in burglaries and car invasions has concerned police and residents, and so police are offering tips at a town hall-style meeting at 7 p.m. today.

Citizens concerned about the recent increase in home burglaries and car invasions are invited to a meeting with members of the Shorewood Police Department at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 26, at the library.

Chief David Banaszynski and other officers will discuss crime-prevention tips at a town hall-style meeting.

At least 15 homes in Shorewood have been burglarized in recent weeks, and more than a dozen autos have been entered illegally. Other North Shore communities, including Whitefish Bay and Fox Point, have also seen an uptick in these types of crimes.
