Hundreds of Dollars in Cigarettes Taken in Overnight Gas Station Burglary

A brick was thrown through the front door of the Citgo gas station on East Captiol Drive Monday.

About $400 in cigarettes were stolen from Shorewood’s Citgo gas station in an overnight burglary Monday.

A brick was tossed through the front door to gain entry to the gas station located at 1602 E. Capitol Dr. and only the cigarettes taken. The store owner called police around 6:20 a.m. to report the incident.

Police estimate the damage to the door at $345.
