Four Smash-And-Grab Thefts at Estabrook Park

The windows of four locked vehicles were smashed Sunday afternoon to steal valuables left in plain view in an Estabrook Park lot.

An iPhone was stolen from one car. A purse and a cell phone were taken from another. A purse was stolen from another car, and one of the credit cards was used to make purchases. An iPod was stolen from the fourth car.

  • All four tires of a car were slashed sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 5:30 a.m. Saturday. The car was in a parking garage in the 1700 block of Capitol Drive.
  • A woman was arrested for her third operating while intoxicated offense at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Oakland Avenue.
  • A woman was cited for possessing marijuana, paraphernalia and her second offense of operating while intoxicated at 2:23 a.m. Monday in the 3500 block of Prospect Avenue. She was originally pulled over for speeding.
  • Someone broke an exterior window at North Shore Funeral Home between 7 p.m. on June 6 and 3:45 p.m. on Monday. 
  • A Pick 'n Save employee was caught stealing from the store at 1:24 a.m. Saturday. They stole soda, orange juice, candy and a Swiffer mop.
