Firefighters Don Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Servicemen join forces in the fight against breast cancer.

North Shore Firefighters are turning in the blue uniform shirts for pink ones during October in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

By wearing pink during the month, firefighters are not only showing their support for the nearly 200,000 Americans fighting breast cancer, but also helping educate the public on the need for regular exams that will assist in early detection of breast cancer.

Local firefighters and North Shore Professional Firefighter’s Association are joining forces with organizations across the country this month to battle cancer.
