Crime Time: Woman Punches through Door Window, Car Break-in, Stolen Political Sign

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

A 27-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for disorderly conduct Sunday after she punched through a door window after her ex-boyfriend didn't want to talk to her.

The woman was attempting to talk to her former boyfriend at his residence in the 1800 block of East Jarvis Street, and when he said was told she couldn’t enter the house to talk, she became angry and put her fist through two panes on the home's front door.

  • A locked car was illegally entered in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue Thursday and roughly $450 worth of items stolen including an iPod touch and charger, GPS and Grand Avenue Mall parking pass.
  • A Rep. Sandy Pasch political sign was reportedly stolen from a front yard in the 4400 block of North Morris Boulevard between June 28 and 30. However, it was reported Saturday.
  • A $90 Jeep brand baby stroller was reported stolen Thursday from a driveway in the 4500 block of North Bartlett Avenue.
  • A $250 2003 red gas-powered push lawnmower was reported stolen Thursday from an open garage in the 4100 block of North Prospect Avenue. The lawnmower was taken between 1:30 and 2 p.m.
  • Around $320 worth of goods were purchased from a website called newegg.com using stolen debit card information, Thursday.
  • A 2012 vehicle registration sticker was removed from a car’s license plate while parked in the 2600 block of East Capitol Drive, Sunday.

The above items are from reports from local police departments. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
