Crime Time: Stolen Truck, Retail Theft, Stolen Bicycle

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

A 2002 Green Ford Ranger truck was stolen June 11 from a parking lot in Shorewood's River Park, 1700 E. River Park Ct.

The truck owner said the Ranger was likely stolen with a extra set of keys in the truck.

  • Shorewood police helped recover a stolen 1997 black Acura Integra June 11, after a parking checker found it parked in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue June  11 and violating night parking restrictions. After a check of a police database, it was determined it had been reported stolen June 28, by Milwaukee police.
  • Nearly $1,600 in fraudulent charges were racked up on a Shorewood man's Visa bank card at Macy’s online store.
  • A $250 white Raleigh bicycle was reported stolen Tuesday from an open garage in the 2500 block of East Beverly Road.
  • A wallet with $20 in cash and driver’s license, and a empty wallet were reported stolen Tuesday from separate lockers in the men’s room at Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Dr.
  • The manager of an apartment building in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue reported a theft of a rent check from a rent collection box, Tuesday.
  • Police were called Tuesday, after staff at 4081 N. Oakland Ave. say a man walked out of the store without paying for three toothbrushes worth $414.
  • The owner of So Solace, 4405 N. Oakland Ave., called police June 11, after she says a large stone was thrown at a front door window and two picture windows causing $600 in damage.

 

The above items are from reports from local police departments. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
