Crime Time: Prescription Fraud, Stolen Bicycle

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

Police are looking for a 40-year-old Milwaukee man they believe attempted to obtain 180 oxycodone tablets with a fraudulent prescription Wednesday at Family Pharmacy, 3512 N. Oakland Ave. Police say they are using information from a photocopy of the man’s drivers license the pharmacist took, to track him down.

Also in the police report:

  • A license plate was stolen off a 2008 white Chevrolet Truck sometime Tuesday night while it was parked in the 1600 block of East Menlo Boulevard.
  • A $50 green BMX bicycle was reported stolen Tuesday from a secure underground parking garage in the 4300 block of North Oakland Avenue.
  • Police have received several soliciting complaints about individuals from United Restoration Church going door-to-door asking for money. They are a recognized church in the area.
