Crime Time: OWI, Teenagers Trespass

A roundup of the latest from the Shorewood police reports.

A 53-year-old Shorewood man was arrested Friday morning for operating while intoxicated in the 3900 block of North Oakland Drive. Police initially stopped the man for operating without headlights. He failed a sobriety test with a .13 blood alcohol content. The driver later admitted to drinking and driving, police say.

Also in the police report:

  • A group of seven teenagers were warned by police for trespassing on private beaches in the 3900 block of North Lake Drive Friday. A resident called in the complaint into Shorewood police.
  • A person flagged down police Friday after he said he saw three men drinking alcohol and hitting beer cans with a golf club on the Oak Leaf Trail bike path, in the 3400 block of North Cambridge Avenue. The three men were detained by Shorewood police and later turned over to Milwaukee police.
  • Four windows were reported broken out of the second floor porch of the Saturday, on the north side of the building. Rocks were found inside of the room, police say.
  • Police are looking for two men caught on surveillance cameras allegedly concealing and stealing $102 worth of cheese and $36 worth of salami from , 4027 N. Oakland Ave.
